The AD9744AR is a 14-bit, 210 MSPS digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, part of the TxDAC series. It uses a segmented current source architecture to deliver differential current outputs adjustable from 2 mA to 20 mA. The device achieves typical SFDR of 83 dBc at 5 MHz output, 80 dBc at 10 MHz, and 73 dBc at 20 MHz, with an SNR of 77 dB at 5 MHz and 125 MSPS. Power dissipation is 135 mW typical at 3.3 V supply.
The DAC accepts parallel data in twos complement or straight binary format and includes an on-chip 1.2 V reference. It is designed for wideband communication transmit channels, direct IF synthesis, base stations, wireless local loops, digital radio links, and direct digital synthesis (DDS) applications.
The AD9744AR is offered in a 28-lead SOIC package (0.295", 7.50mm Width) for surface mount assembly. The device operates from a single 3.3 V supply and features a CMOS-compatible digital interface.
