The AD9708ARZ is an 8-bit resolution member of the TxDAC series of high-performance, low-power CMOS digital-to-analog converters (DACs) from Analog Devices. It supports update rates up to 125 MSPS and provides differential current outputs with a full-scale output current of 20 mA. The device achieves a settling time of 35 ns to 0.1% and typical power dissipation of 175 mW at 5V supply, reducing to 45 mW at 3V supply.
This DAC offers excellent linearity with INL and DNL of ±0.25 LSB maximum. It includes an on-chip 1.20V reference and supports both external and internal reference types. The device features edge-triggered latches and a parallel data interface. It achieves a SINAD of 50 dB at a 5 MHz output frequency.
The AD9708ARZ is housed in a 28-lead SOIC package with a 7.50mm body width, designed for surface mount assembly. It operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The device is suitable for communications, signal reconstruction, and instrumentation applications.
