The AD9649BCPZ-80 is a high-performance 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices, designed for communications and instrumentation applications. Operating from a single 1.8 V analog supply with a 1.8 V to 3.3 V output supply, it achieves a sampling rate of 80 MSPS with a pipelined architecture. The device delivers a typical SNR of 74.3 dBFS and SFDR of 93 dBc at a 9.7 MHz input, making it suitable for demanding signal chain designs.
Key electrical characteristics include a differential analog input with 700 MHz bandwidth, a 2 V p-p input voltage range, and typical power consumption of 87 mW at full speed. The converter supports multiple data formats (offset binary, gray code, twos complement) and features an on-chip voltage reference, sample-and-hold circuit, and programmable clock divider. DNL is specified at ±0.35 LSB typical.
The ADC is housed in a compact 32-LFCSP-VQ (5x5 mm) surface-mount package, rated for operation over -40°C to +85°C. The parallel data interface and built-in digital test pattern generation simplify integration into digital receiver and imaging systems.
