The AD9625BBPZ-2.5 is a high-performance 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices, designed for demanding signal acquisition applications. It operates at a sampling rate of 2.5 GSPS and uses a pipelined architecture to achieve excellent dynamic performance, including a typical SFDR of 79 dBc and SNR of 57.6 dBFS at 1 GHz input. The device features a differential analog input with 3.2 GHz full-power bandwidth and an internal voltage reference.
Data conversion results are output via a high-speed 6- or 8-lane JESD204B serial interface, supporting data rates up to 6.5 Gbps per lane. The ADC also includes a serial peripheral interface (SPI) for configuration and control. It operates from dual supply voltages of 1.26V to 1.32V and 2.4V to 2.6V, and is specified over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
The device is housed in a 196-ball LFBGA package with an exposed pad for thermal management, and is surface-mountable. Typical applications include spectrum analyzers, military communications, radar systems, and high-performance digital storage oscilloscopes.
The AD9625BBPZ-2.5 has a resolution of 12 bits.
The maximum sampling rate is 2.5 GSPS.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
It comes in a 196-LFBGA package with exposed pad, also known as 196-BGA-ED (12x12).
It uses a JESD204B serial interface and also supports SPI for control.
Typical SFDR is 79 dBc with input up to 1 GHz at -1 dBFS, and 77 dBc with input up to 1.8 GHz at -1 dBFS, both at 2.5 GSPS.
The part is listed as RoHS3 Compliant, but this status is unverified.
