The AD9522-3BCPZ-REEL7 is a high-performance clock generator and fanout distribution IC from Analog Devices. It integrates a phase-locked loop (PLL) and an on-chip voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) that tunes from 1.72 GHz to 2.25 GHz. The device accepts CMOS, LVDS, or LVPECL reference inputs and can also use an external VCO/VCXO up to 2.4 GHz.
This component provides 12 LVDS outputs or 24 CMOS outputs, configurable in a 2:12 or 2:24 input-to-output ratio. It features additive output jitter as low as 242 fs rms and channel-to-channel skew of less than 60 ps on grouped outputs. The serial interface supports both SPI and I2C protocols, and an on-chip EEPROM stores configuration settings.
Designed for surface-mount assembly, it is housed in a 64-lead LFCSP package (9x9 mm) with an exposed pad for thermal management. The operating temperature range is -40 °C to 85 °C, and the supply voltage range is 3.135 V to 3.465 V. Typical applications include clock generation and distribution for high-speed communications, instrumentation, and data conversion systems.
The maximum output frequency is 2.25 GHz for the VCO output. For LVDS outputs, the maximum is 800 MHz. For CMOS outputs, the maximum is 250 MHz.
The supply voltage range is 3.135 V to 3.465 V.
It comes in a 64-lead LFCSP package (9x9 mm) with an exposed pad.
The operating temperature range is -40 °C to 85 °C.
RoHS compliance is listed as RoHS3 Compliant but is unverified.
It provides 12 LVDS outputs or 24 CMOS outputs.
The device supports SPI and I2C serial interfaces.
