AD9514BCPZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD9514BCPZ is a high-performance clock distribution IC from Analog Devices designed for low jitter and low phase noise applications. It accepts a differential clock input up to 1.6 GHz and provides three independent outputs: two LVPECL outputs and one output configurable as LVDS or CMOS. Each output channel includes a programmable divider with a division range from 1 to 32, enabling flexible frequency synthesis and distribution.

The device features additive broadband output jitter of 225 fs rms for LVPECL outputs, 300 fs rms for LVDS, and 290 fs rms for CMOS, making it suitable for clocking high-speed data converters and other jitter-sensitive circuits. A delay element with full-scale values of 1.5 ns, 5 ns, and 10 ns allows coarse timing adjustments. The AD9514 is configured via 4-level logic pins, eliminating the need for a serial interface.

The IC operates from a 3.135 V to 3.465 V supply and over a -40°C to +85°C temperature range. It is housed in a compact 32-lead LFCSP (5x5 mm) package with an exposed pad for thermal management, and is surface-mountable for automated assembly.
