The AD9276BSVZ from Analog Devices Inc. integrates eight channels of low-noise amplifier (LNA), variable gain amplifier (VGA), anti-aliasing filter (AAF), 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and a CW I/Q demodulator into a single 100-TQFP exposed pad package. The LNA features SPI-programmable gain settings of 15.6 dB, 17.9 dB, and 21.3 dB with an input-referred noise of 0.75 nV/√Hz and bandwidth exceeding 100 MHz. The VGA provides an attenuator range of -42 dB to 0 dB followed by a postamp with programmable gains of 21 dB, 24 dB, 27 dB, or 30 dB.
The AAF is a programmable second-order low-pass filter with cutoff frequencies from 8 MHz to 18 MHz. The ADC operates at sampling rates from 10 MSPS to 80 MSPS, achieving a typical SNR of 70 dB and SFDR of 75 dB. Data is output via serial LVDS with a double data rate clock up to 480 MHz. The CW I/Q demodulator offers individual programmable phase rotation and an output dynamic range greater than 160 dBFS/√Hz per channel.
Power dissipation is 195 mW per channel in TGC mode at 40 MSPS and 94 mW per channel in CW Doppler mode. The device supports flexible power-down modes and offers fast overload recovery (<10 ns) and standby recovery (<2 μs). The surface-mount package is 100-lead TQFP with exposed pad, suitable for compact designs.
The device requires 1.8V and 3V supplies (analog and digital).
It is supplied in a 100-TQFP Exposed Pad package (supplier device package 100-TQFP-EP 14x14 mm, datasheet states 16x16 mm).
It operates from -40°C to 85°C.
It is listed as RoHS3 compliant, but this has not been verified.
It supports sampling rates from 10 MSPS to 80 MSPS.
The ADC resolution is 12 bits.
It uses an SPI data interface.
