The AD9272BSVZ-80 from Analog Devices is an octal (8-channel) integrated signal chain solution combining a low noise preamplifier (LNA), variable gain amplifier (VGA), anti-aliasing filter (AAF), and a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with a maximum sampling rate of 80 MSPS. It also includes an 8x8 differential crosspoint switch for continuous wave (CW) Doppler processing.
The LNA offers SPI-programmable gains of 15.6 dB, 17.9 dB, and 21.3 dB with an input-referred noise voltage of 0.75 nV/√Hz typical at 5 MHz. The VGA provides an attenuator range of -42 dB to 0 dB and a PGA gain programmable to 21 dB, 24 dB, 27 dB, or 30 dB. The AAF is a programmable 2nd-order low-pass filter with bandwidth from 8 MHz to 18 MHz.
The ADC achieves a typical SNR of 70 dB and SFDR of 75 dB. Data output is via serial LVDS (ANSI-644, IEEE 1596.3 reduced range link). Power consumption is 195 mW per channel in TGC mode at 12 bits and 40 MSPS, and 120 mW per channel in CW Doppler mode.
The device is housed in a 100-lead TQFP with exposed pad (100-TQFP-EP, 14x14 mm) for surface mount assembly. It operates over a -40°C to +85°C temperature range and requires 1.8V and 3V analog and digital supplies.
The ADC resolution is 12 bits.
The maximum sampling rate is 80 MSPS.
It has 8 channels.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
It is a 100-TQFP Exposed Pad (100-TQFP-EP, 14x14 mm) surface mount package.
The typical SNR is 70 dB.
In TGC mode at 12 bits and 40 MSPS, it is 195 mW per channel. In CW Doppler mode, it is 120 mW per channel.
