The AD9272BSVZ-40 is an octal (8-channel) integrated analog front-end from Analog Devices, combining a low-noise preamplifier (LNA), variable gain amplifier (VGA), anti-aliasing filter (AAF), 12-bit ADC, and an 8×8 differential crosspoint switch in a single 100-TQFP Exposed Pad package. Each channel includes a programmable LNA with gain options of 15.6 dB, 17.9 dB, and 21.3 dB, and an input-referred noise voltage of 0.75 nV/√Hz at 5 MHz. The VGA provides a -42 dB to 0 dB attenuator range followed by a programmable PGA gain of 21 dB, 24 dB, 27 dB, or 30 dB. The AAF is a programmable 2nd-order low-pass filter with cutoff from 8 MHz to 18 MHz.
The ADC converts at 40 MSPS (with a range of 10 MSPS to 80 MSPS) and achieves 70 dB SNR and 75 dB SFDR typical. Data output is via serial LVDS. The crosspoint switch enables continuous wave (CW) Doppler processing. Power dissipation is 195 mW per channel in TGC mode at 12 bits and 40 MSPS, and 120 mW per channel in CW Doppler mode. The device operates from 1.8V and 3V supplies over the -40°C to 85°C temperature range. It is designed for medical imaging and automotive radar applications.
The device operates with analog and digital supplies at 1.8V and 3V.
It is available in a 100-TQFP Exposed Pad (100-TQFP-EP 14x14) package.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
The device is listed as RoHS3 Compliant, but this data is unverified and should be confirmed with the official datasheet.
The ADC has a sampling rate of 40 MSPS (10 MSPS to 80 MSPS range).
It has 8 channels, each with LNA, VGA, AAF, and ADC.
195 mW per channel in TGC mode at 12 bits, 40 MSPS, and 120 mW in CW Doppler mode.
