The AD9215BRU-80 is a 10-bit, 80 MSPS analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices, part of the AD9215 family. It operates from a single 3V supply (2.7V to 3.3V) and uses a multistage differential pipelined architecture with output error correction logic to guarantee no missing codes over the full industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
Key performance specifications include a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 58 dBc and spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 77 dBc to Nyquist. The differential nonlinearity (DNL) is ±0.25 LSB typical. The ADC core consumes 104 mW at 80 MSPS. The analog input bandwidth is 300 MHz, and the flexible input range supports 1 V p-p to 2 V p-p.
The device includes an on-chip reference and sample-and-hold amplifier, a clock duty cycle stabilizer, and supports offset binary or twos complement data output formats. It is available in a 28-lead TSSOP surface-mount package (0.173", 4.40mm Width).
Typical applications include ultrasound equipment, IF sampling in communications receivers, battery-powered instruments, hand-held scopemeters, and low cost digital oscilloscopes.
