The AD9214BRSZ-105 is a 10-bit monolithic sampling analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with an on-chip track-and-hold circuit, optimized for low cost, low power, small size, and ease of use. It operates at conversion rates up to 105 MSPS with outstanding dynamic performance over its full operating range.
The ADC requires only a single 3.3 V (2.7 V to 3.6 V) power supply and an encode clock. No external reference or driver components are required for many applications. Key electrical specifications include a typical SNR of 57 dB at 39 MHz analog input, 300 MHz analog bandwidth, and a selectable analog input range of 1 V p-p or 2 V p-p. Power consumption is 285 mW typical at 105 MSPS, 190 mW at 65 MSPS, and 30 mW in power-down mode. The digital outputs are TTL/CMOS compatible and support twos complement or offset binary data format.
Typical applications include battery-powered instruments, hand-held scopemeters, low-cost digital oscilloscopes, ultrasound equipment, cable reverse path, broadband wireless, and residential power line networks. The device is housed in a 28-SSOP (0.209", 5.30mm Width) surface-mount package and operates over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
