The AD9122BCPZ is a dual 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, part of the TxDAC+ family. It offers a maximum sample rate of 1230 MSPS, enabling multicarrier generation up to the Nyquist frequency. The device includes an integrated 2x/4x/8x interpolator and complex modulator, allowing flexible carrier placement within the DAC bandwidth. It also features a digital inverse sinc filter and a high-performance, low-noise PLL clock multiplier.
The DAC provides an adjustable analog output current range of 8.7 mA to 31.7 mA into a 25 Ω to 50 Ω load. The LVDS data interface supports word, byte, or nibble load configurations. The device includes gain, DC offset, and phase adjustment for sideband suppression. Typical power dissipation is 1.5 W at 1.2 GSPS and 800 mW at 500 MSPS.
This DAC is suitable for wireless infrastructure applications such as W-CDMA, CDMA2000, TD-SCDMA, WiMAX, GSM, and LTE. It is also used in digital high or low IF synthesis, transmit diversity, and wideband communications. The AD9122BCPZ is supplied in a 72-lead LFCSP with an exposed pad (72-VFQFN Exposed Pad, CSP) and is surface mount compatible. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
The supply voltage range is 1.71V to 1.89V.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
The package is 72-LFCSP-VQ (10x10) (72-VFQFN Exposed Pad, CSP).
It is listed as RoHS3 compliant, but this data is unverified.
The resolution is 16 bits.
The maximum sampling rate is 1230 MSPS.
The output type is current - unbuffered.
