The AD9042ASTZ is a high-speed, high-performance, low-power monolithic 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It integrates all necessary functions, including track-and-hold (T/H) and reference, on a single chip for a complete conversion solution.
This ADC operates from a single 5 V supply and provides CMOS-compatible digital outputs at a minimum sample rate of 41 MSPS. It is designed for wideband, multi-channel receivers, maintaining 80 dB spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) over a 20 MHz bandwidth. Noise performance is also exceptional, with a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 68 dB.
The AD9042ASTZ is built on a high-speed complementary bipolar process and utilizes an innovative multipass architecture. It is packaged in a 44-lead LQFP low-profile quad flat package. The industrial grade is specified for operation from -40°C to +85°C.
Applications include cellular/PCS base stations, GPS anti-jamming receivers, communications receivers, spectrum analyzers, electro-optics, medical imaging, and ATE systems.
