The AD8398AACPZ-R7 is a single-port VDSL2 line driver from Analog Devices, designed for ADSL2+, VDSL2, and power line communications (PLC) applications. It integrates two high-speed voltage feedback operational amplifiers capable of delivering an 18.4 V p-p differential output swing from a 12 V supply.
The driver provides a linear output current of 450 mA peak and an 85 MHz bandwidth (AV DIFF = 5), enabling low distortion performance: -65 dBc for Profile 8b at 20.4 dBm and -55 dBc for Profile 17a at 14.5 dBm. The device operates over a -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
The AD8398A is housed in a thermally enhanced 4 mm × 4 mm, 16-lead LFCSP (16-LFCSP (4x4)) with an exposed pad for improved heat dissipation. It supports surface mount mounting and is supplied in tape and reel packaging (suffix -R7).
