AD835ANZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD835ANZ is a complete four-quadrant, voltage output analog multiplier from Analog Devices. It generates the linear product of its X and Y voltage inputs with a −3 dB output bandwidth of 250 MHz. The device is fabricated on an advanced dielectrically isolated complementary bipolar process, providing high speed and low noise.

Key specifications include a small signal rise time of 1 ns, full-scale rise/fall times of 2.5 ns, and settling time to 0.1% of full scale in 20 ns. The multiplier noise density is 50 nV/√Hz. The differential X, Y, and Z inputs have high impedance (100 kΩ || 2 pF), and the low impedance output can deliver up to ±2.5 V into loads as low as 25 Ω.

The AD835ANZ is suitable for very fast multiplication, division, squaring, wideband modulation and demodulation, phase detection, sinusoidal frequency doubling, video gain control, and voltage-controlled amplifiers and filters. The Z input allows addition of a signal at the output or operation with voltage gains up to about ×10.

The device is available in an 8-lead PDIP package (8-DIP) with through-hole mounting, specified for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
