AD8116JSTZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD8116JSTZ is a high speed 16 x 16 non-blocking crosspoint switch array designed for routing video and other high-speed signals.

It offers a –3 dB bandwidth greater than 200 MHz and a 0.1 dB gain flatness to 60 MHz, making it suitable for composite and component video applications. Each output is buffered and individually disableable, allowing direct connection of multiple device outputs.

The switch matrix is controlled via an 80-bit serial word and supports daisy-chaining for larger arrays exceeding 256 x 256. The device also includes a reset pin for disabling all outputs, and a chip enable for selecting individual AD8116s in large arrays.

The AD8116JSTZ is supplied in a 128-lead LQFP (14x14 mm) package for surface mount assembly and operates over a 0 to 70 °C temperature range. Power dissipation is typically 900 mW from dual ±4.5 V to 5.5 V supplies.
