The AD7980BRMZ is a 16-bit successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices' PulSAR family. It supports a sampling rate of 1 MSPS with zero latency architecture, making it suitable for high-speed data acquisition applications.
The ADC features a single pseudo-differential input with an external reference voltage range of 2.5 V to 5 V. It operates from a single 2.5 V supply and includes a separate logic supply from 1.8 V to 5 V for flexible digital interface compatibility. Typical power dissipation is 7 mW at full speed and only 70 µW at 10 kSPS.
The device is packaged in a 10-lead MSOP (10-MSOP) and is rated for operation from -40°C to +125°C. The serial interface supports SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP protocols and allows daisy-chaining multiple ADCs.
