The AD7921AUJZ-R2 is a 12-bit, high speed, low power, successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It features a 2-channel multiplexer with sample-and-hold, capable of sampling rates up to 250 kSPS. The device operates from a single 2.35V to 5.25V supply and consumes only 4 mW typical at 3V (250 kSPS) and 13.5 mW at 5V. It achieves a minimum signal-to-noise ratio of 71 dB at 100 kHz input frequency, making it suitable for applications requiring wide input bandwidth. The converter uses a supply voltage reference and offers a high-speed serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSPs.
The AD7921 is available in a compact 8-lead TSOT-23-8 package for surface mount assembly. It operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The part is designed for battery-powered systems, medical instruments, and data acquisition systems where low power and small size are critical.
