The AD7904BRUZ-REEL7 is an 8-bit, 4-channel successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It offers a maximum sampling rate of 1 MSPS and operates from a single 2.7V to 5.25V power supply. The device features a multiplexed input stage with a track-and-hold amplifier, allowing it to handle input frequencies up to 8 MHz. The conversion architecture is SAR (successive approximation register), providing fast and accurate conversions without pipeline delays. The ADC communicates via a high-speed serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP processors. The reference type is external, giving flexibility in setting the input voltage range. The device is housed in a 16-lead TSSOP package (16-TSSOP, 0.173" width, 4.40mm) and is surface mountable. It is specified for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The AD7904BRUZ-REEL7 is suitable for applications requiring multiple analog input channels with moderate resolution and high sampling rate, such as industrial control, data acquisition systems, and battery-powered instruments due to its low power consumption (6 mW max at 3V, 13.5 mW at 5V). The part is available in tape and reel packaging (REEL7 suffix).
