The AD7903BRQZ is a dual, 16-bit, successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC) manufactured by Analog Devices. It features two independent ADCs with simultaneous sampling capability, each providing 16-bit resolution at a throughput of 1 MSPS. The device uses a SAR architecture and accepts true differential analog input signals with an external reference voltage range of 2.4 V to 5.1 V.
Key electrical characteristics include a typical SINAD of 93.5 dB at 1 kHz and total harmonic distortion of −112 dB. The ADC consumes only 12.0 mW total power at full throughput, with power scaling at lower sampling rates. It operates from a single 2.5 V supply and supports logic interface voltages from 1.8 V to 5 V via separate VIO pins.
The AD7903BRQZ is available in a 20-lead QSOP package for surface-mount assembly. Its operating temperature range spans −40°C to +125°C, suitable for industrial and automotive environments. The serial interface is SPI/DSP compatible and supports daisy-chaining of multiple devices.
Typical applications include battery-powered equipment, communications systems, automated test equipment, data acquisition, medical instrumentation, and redundant measurement systems where low power and high accuracy are critical.
