The AD7896AN is a 12-bit successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices. It features a 100 kSPS sampling rate and operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply, consuming only 9 mW typical power. The device includes an on-chip track-and-hold amplifier and a high-speed SPI serial interface, making it suitable for a variety of data acquisition applications.
The ADC accepts a single-ended analog input range of 0 V to VDD and provides a conversion time of 8 µs. It is housed in a through-hole 8-pin PDIP package (8-DIP, 0.300" width, 7.62mm pitch). The AD7896AN is specified for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Its architecture and low power consumption make it ideal for battery-powered and portable instrumentation.
