The AD7892BR-1 is a high-speed, low-power, 12-bit successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It operates from a single +5 V supply and consumes typically 60 mW, making it suitable for low power and portable applications. The device includes an on-chip track/hold amplifier, an internal +2.5 V reference, and flexible interface structures that support both serial (SPI) and parallel data output formats.
The ADC offers two analog input ranges: ±10 V and ±5 V, with overvoltage protection up to ±17 V on the inputs. It achieves a conversion time of 1.47 µs and a track/hold acquisition time of 200 ns, enabling a throughput rate of up to 500 kSPS. The device uses a SAR architecture and provides a 1:1 S/H:ADC ratio.
The AD7892BR-1 is housed in a 24-SOIC (0.295", 7.50mm Width) surface mount package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. This ADC is designed for applications requiring high speed and low power, such as industrial control, data acquisition systems, and portable instrumentation.
