The AD7879WACPZ-RL is a 12-bit successive approximation ADC touch screen controller designed for 4-wire resistive touch screens. It operates from a single 1.6V to 3.6V supply and achieves throughput rates of 105kSPS. The device features a median and averaging filter to reduce noise from LCDs and other sources, an automatic conversion sequencer and timer, and a shutdown mode that reduces current consumption to a maximum of 6µA.
The controller includes an auxiliary analog input or battery monitor with a 0.5V to 5V range, and an optional GPIO. Interrupt outputs (INT, PENIRQ) and touch-pressure measurement capability are provided. It is qualified for automotive applications.
