The AD7862ANZ-10 is a high-speed, low-power, dual 12-bit successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices. It features two 4 µs ADCs, two track/hold amplifiers, an internal +2.5 V reference, and a high-speed parallel interface. The device accepts an analog input range of ±10 V (AD7862-10 variant) and operates from a single +5 V supply.
With four analog inputs grouped into two channels (A and B), the AD7862ANZ-10 can sample and convert two inputs simultaneously, preserving relative phase information. The typical power dissipation is 60 mW, with a power saving mode of 50 mW. The architecture is SAR, and the data interface is parallel.
The converter is housed in a 28-lead PDIP (0.600", 15.24mm) package with through-hole mounting. It operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The device is suitable for applications such as AC motor control, uninterruptible power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
