The AD7858LAR is a 12-bit successive-approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter that samples at up to 100 kSPS. It provides eight single-ended or four pseudo-differential input channels and operates from a single 3V to 5.5V supply. The device dissipates 4.5 mW typical at VDD = 3V and accepts an external reference from 1.2V to VDD. Its serial interface is compatible with 8051, SPI, and QSPI controllers.
The converter uses a charge redistribution DAC with SAR control and an integrated input multiplexer. It supports straight binary output coding for analog inputs ranging from 0V to VREF. On-chip self-calibration and system calibration maintain accuracy over time and temperature, and automatic power-down after conversion reduces average power in low-duty-cycle applications.
The AD7858LAR is specified over an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It is offered in a 24-SOIC (0.295", 7.50mm width) surface-mount package. Typical applications include battery-powered systems, personal digital assistants, instrumentation and control systems, and high-speed modems.
The AD7858LAR operates from a single 3V to 5.5V power supply.
The AD7858LAR is rated for -40°C to 85°C operation.
The AD7858LAR comes in a 24-SOIC (0.295", 7.50mm width) surface-mount package.
The existing product record lists AD7858LAR as RoHS3 compliant, but this status is unverified.
