The AD7858AR is a 12-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices. It offers a sampling rate of 200 kSPS as specified in the datasheet, with a resolution of 12 bits. The device operates from a single supply voltage ranging from 3V to 5.5V and features a flexible serial interface compatible with SPI and QSPI protocols.
The ADC includes a multiplexer that accepts up to 8 single-ended or 4 pseudo-differential inputs. It has an internal reference voltage option as well as support for an external reference, with a reference voltage range of 1.2V to VDD. The analog input range is 0V to VDD. Power dissipation is typically 12 mW at a 3V supply, and the device includes automatic power-down after conversion for low-power applications.
The AD7858AR is housed in a 24-SOIC surface-mount package with a width of 7.50mm. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The part features self-calibration and system calibration options to maintain accuracy over time and temperature.
