The AD7854ARSZ is a high-speed, low-power, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It features a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture and operates from a single 3V to 5.5V power supply. The device provides a sampling rate of 200kSPS and includes a pseudo-differential input with a sample-and-hold (S/H) circuit.
The ADC offers both external and internal reference options, with an internal reference voltage of 2.5V typical. The reference voltage range is 1.2V to AVDD. Power dissipation is typically 15mW during normal operation at 3V and 200kSPS, and can be reduced to 1.3mW in auto power-down mode at 10kSPS. The input voltage range can be configured for unipolar (0 to Vref) or bipolar (-Vref/2 to +Vref/2) operation.
The device is designed for battery-powered systems, instrumentation, control systems, and high-speed modems. It includes self-calibration and system calibration features. The AD7854ARSZ is packaged in a 28-lead SSOP (Shrink Small Outline Package) with surface mount mounting. The data interface is SPI.
