The AD7854AR is a 12-bit, successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It offers a maximum sampling rate of 200 kSPS and operates from a single 3V to 5.5V power supply. The device features a single pseudo-differential input with a sample-and-hold amplifier, and supports both external and internal voltage references.
This ADC integrates a charge redistribution DAC and a flexible parallel interface. It provides system and self-calibration options to ensure accuracy. The AD7854AR is designed for low power consumption, with typical power dissipation of 15 mW at 3V supply. After conversion, it automatically enters a power-down mode to save energy.
The converter is housed in a 28-lead SOIC surface-mount package with a 0.295-inch body width. It is specified for operation over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The architecture and interface make it suitable for battery-powered systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
