The AD7853LAN is a 12-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) manufactured by Analog Devices. It offers a typical sampling rate of 200 kSPS and operates from a single 3V to 5.5V power supply. The device features a pseudo-differential input, support for both external and internal reference, and a flexible serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, 8051, and Microwire protocols.
Designed for low power consumption, the AD7853LAN typically dissipates 12 mW at 3V. It includes self-calibration and system-calibration options to ensure accuracy over time and temperature. The ADC powers up with default settings and can be operated as a read-only device.
Typical applications include battery-powered systems, instrumentation and control systems, high-speed modems, and pen computers. The device is available in a 24-lead DIP (0.300", 7.62mm) package (PDIP) and is intended for through-hole mounting.
