The AD7847ARZ is a dual 12-bit multiplying digital-to-analog converter (MDAC) with integrated output amplifiers, fabricated on a monolithic CMOS chip using Linear Compatible CMOS (LC2MOS) technology. It provides 12-bit resolution across two DAC channels with voltage-buffered outputs capable of driving ±10 V into a 2 kΩ load. The device accepts 12-bit parallel data and uses separate chip select inputs for each DAC, along with a WR input for loading. It achieves a typical settling time of 3 µs to within ±1/2 LSB (5 µs maximum) and features a conversion rate of 250 ksps. The reference type is external, and the architecture is R-2R ladder. The AD7847ARZ operates from dual supplies of ±14.25V to ±15.75V and draws a maximum supply current of 8 mA on the positive rail and 6 mA on the negative rail. It is specified over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is housed in a 24-SOIC (0.295", 7.50mm Width) surface-mount package. The device is designed for applications requiring precision analog output with microprocessor compatibility.
