AD7790BRMZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD7790BRMZ is a low power, complete analog front end for low frequency measurement applications. It contains a low noise 16-bit sigma-delta ADC with one differential input that can be buffered or unbuffered, along with a digital PGA that allows gains of 1, 2, 4, and 8. The device operates from an internal clock, eliminating the need for an external clock source. The output data rate is software programmable from 9.5 Hz to 120 SPS.

The ADC achieves 1.1 µV RMS noise at 9.5 Hz update rate and typical integral nonlinearity of 3.5 ppm. It includes simultaneous 50 Hz and 60 Hz rejection, making it suitable for noisy power environments. Power consumption is 75 µA maximum in normal mode and 1 µA in power-down mode.

The AD7790BRMZ is housed in a 10-lead MSOP package and supports surface mount mounting. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C and is supplied with a voltage range of 2.5V to 5.25V. The device features a 3-wire serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP.
