AD7787BRM Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD7787BRM is a low power, 24-bit Sigma-Delta ADC designed for low frequency measurement applications. It integrates a low noise ADC with one differential and one single-ended input, an internal clock oscillator, and a rail-to-rail input buffer. The device is suitable for smart transmitters, battery applications, portable instrumentation, sensor measurement, temperature measurement, pressure measurement, weigh scales, and 4 to 20 mA loops.

The ADC operates from a 2.5V to 5.25V supply and consumes only 75 µA typical (max 225 µW at 3V). It offers a programmable output data rate from 9.5 Hz to 120 Hz. At 9.5 Hz update rate, the RMS noise is 1.1 µV, providing 19.5-bit peak-to-peak resolution (22 bits effective). Integral nonlinearity is 3.5 ppm typical. The device supports simultaneous 50 Hz and 60 Hz rejection.

The AD7787BRM communicates via a 3-wire serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP. It is housed in a 10-lead MSOP package (10-MSOP) for surface mount assembly. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C.
