AD7732BRUZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD7732BRUZ is a high precision, 24-bit sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designed for industrial multiplexing applications. It features two fully differential analog input channels with programmable input ranges including ±10 V, ±5 V, +10 V, and +5 V, all operating from a single +5 V analog supply. The digital interface supports SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP protocols, enabling easy integration with a wide range of microcontrollers and DSPs.

The ADC achieves 24-bit no missing codes performance with ±0.0015% typical nonlinearity. It is optimized for fast channel switching, delivering 16-bit p-p resolution at 2 kHz and 14-bit p-p resolution at 15 kHz. The maximum sampling rate is 15.4 kHz. The device includes overvoltage tolerance up to ±16.5 V without affecting adjacent channel performance, and an absolute maximum input voltage of ±50 V. On-chip per-channel system calibration and an external voltage reference are supported.

The AD7732BRUZ is housed in a 28-lead TSSOP package (0.173" width, 4.40 mm) for surface mount assembly. It operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. Typical applications include programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), process control, and industrial instrumentation requiring high resolution and fast channel switching.
