The AD7715AN-5 is a 16-bit Sigma-Delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designed for low-frequency measurement applications. It integrates a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) front end with gains of 1, 2, 32, and 128, allowing direct connection to low-level transducer signals.
The device operates from a 3V to 5.25V supply and draws a maximum supply current of 450 µA at 3V. It offers a sampling rate of 500 S/s and features a differential input configuration. The ADC employs an external voltage reference and provides a three-wire serial interface compatible with SPI and DSP.
The AD7715AN-5 is housed in a 16-lead PDIP (plastic dual in-line package) with through-hole mounting, suitable for breadboard prototyping and industrial applications. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
