AD7714YRUZ-REEL7 Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD7714YRUZ-REEL7 is a complete analog front end for low-frequency measurement applications. It accepts low-level signals directly from a transducer and outputs a serial digital word. The device employs a sigma-delta conversion technique to realize up to 24 bits of no missing codes performance. The input signal is applied to a proprietary programmable gain front end based around an analog modulator. The modulator output is processed by an on-chip digital filter with programmable filter cutoffs.

The ADC features three differential analog inputs which can also be configured as five pseudo-differential inputs, along with a differential reference input. It operates from a single supply of 2.7V to 5.25V. The AD7714YRUZ-REEL7 includes a three-wire serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP. Typical supply current is 226 µA, with a power-down mode drawing only 4 µA. Integral nonlinearity is 0.0010% typical.

The device is available in a 24-lead TSSOP surface mount package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. It is suitable for portable industrial instruments, weigh scales, loop-powered systems, and pressure transducers.
