The AD7709ARUZ-REEL7 is a 16-bit Sigma-Delta ADC designed for low-frequency measurement applications. It integrates a multiplexer, programmable gain amplifier (PGA), and a 16-bit Sigma-Delta modulator. The device supports differential and pseudo-differential inputs with up to 4 channels. It offers a sampling rate of 105 SPS and features a 3-wire serial interface compatible with SPI and DSP. The ADC operates from a single 2.7V to 3.3V supply or 5V supply, with typical power dissipation of 3.75 mW at 3V. It includes switchable current sources for sensor excitation and a 4-bit digital I/O port. The AD7709 is suitable for sensor measurement, temperature measurement, pressure measurement, weigh scales, and portable instrumentation. It is available in a 24-TSSOP surface-mount package and operates over -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
