The AD7707BRUZ is a 16-bit sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designed for low frequency measurement applications. It employs a charge-balancing sigma-delta architecture to achieve 16-bit performance with no missing codes. The device features a multiplexer, programmable gain amplifier (PGA), and ADC in a single configuration (MUX-PGA-ADC).
The ADC supports 1 or 2 input channels in pseudo-differential or single-ended mode. It operates with an external voltage reference and accepts analog and digital supply voltages from 2.7V to 3.3V or 5V. The data interface is serial (SPI and DSP compatible), and the device includes a programmable gain of 1 to 128. The AD7707BRUZ is packaged in a 20-TSSOP surface mount package and operates over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
According to the datasheet, the ADC consumes 1 mW at 3V and has a standby current of 8 µA maximum. Nonlinearity is specified as ±0.003% typical. The part is suitable for direct transducer interface with high-level signals up to ±10V.
The AD7707BRUZ is a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter.
The sampling rate is 500 samples per second (500 S/s).
The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
The AD7707BRUZ is available in a 20-TSSOP (0.173", 4.40mm Width) surface mount package.
The analog and digital supply voltages can be 2.7V to 3.3V or 5V.
The AD7707BRUZ supports SPI and DSP serial interfaces.
The AD7707BRUZ is marked as RoHS3 compliant, but this status is unverified and should be reviewed.
