The AD7705BRU is a 16-bit sigma-delta analog to digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It features two fully differential input channels and a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with gains from 1 to 128, allowing direct connection to low-level transducer signals. The device uses a sigma-delta conversion architecture to achieve 16-bit no missing codes performance with a maximum nonlinearity of 0.003%.
The ADC operates from a dual supply range of 2.7V to 3.3V or 5V and consumes a maximum of 1 mW at 3V. It offers a sampling rate of 500 S/s and communicates via a 3-wire serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP protocols. The device includes an external voltage reference and a standby current of only 8 µA maximum.
The AD7705BRU is housed in a 16-lead TSSOP surface mount package (16-TSSOP, 4.40mm width) and is rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is suitable for low frequency measurement applications requiring high resolution and low power consumption.
The AD7705BRU has a resolution of 16 bits.
