AD7693BRMZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD7693BRMZ is a 16-bit, 500 kSPS successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It features a differential input architecture with a true differential analog input range of ±VREF, allowing flexible signal conditioning. The device achieves excellent linearity with integral nonlinearity (INL) and differential nonlinearity (DNL) of ±0.5 LSB maximum, and typical dynamic performance of 96 dB SINAD and 96.5 dB dynamic range.

The ADC operates from a single 5 V supply and includes a proprietary serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP protocols. It supports daisy-chain configuration and a selectable busy indicator. Power dissipation is 18 mW maximum at 500 kSPS, with a standby current of 1 nA. The device is specified over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.

The AD7693BRMZ is offered in a 10-lead MSOP package (10-MSOP) with surface mount mounting. It is pin-compatible with other members of the PulSAR family, including the 16-bit AD7687 and AD7688, and the 18-bit AD7690 and AD7691.
