AD7675ASTZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD7675ASTZ is a 16-bit, 100 kSPS successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It accepts a differential analog input voltage range of ±2.5 V and provides a 16-bit digital output with no missing codes. The device achieves a typical signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SINAD) of 94 dB at a 45 kHz input frequency and a typical total harmonic distortion (THD) of -110 dB.

The ADC uses a charge redistribution SAR architecture and includes an internal conversion clock and error correction circuitry. It offers a parallel (8-bit or 16-bit) and serial (SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, DSP compatible) data interface. The device operates from a single 5 V supply with a typical power dissipation of 15 mW during normal operation, which reduces to 15 µW at a 100 SPS throughput rate.

The AD7675ASTZ is housed in a 48-lead LQFP (7x7 mm) package for surface mount assembly. It is specified for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The part is pin-to-pin compatible with the AD7660 and is a replacement for the AD676 and AD677.
