The AD7665AST is a 16-bit, 570 kSPS successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) manufactured by Analog Devices. It operates from a single 5 V supply and dissipates 64 mW typical power. The device offers a maximum sampling rate of 570 kSPS in Warp mode and 500 kSPS in Normal mode, with no pipeline delay.
The ADC provides excellent AC performance with a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 90 dB at 180 kHz input frequency and total harmonic distortion (THD) of –100 dB. Integral nonlinearity (INL) is ±2.5 LSB maximum. It supports both bipolar and unipolar input voltage ranges: ±10 V, ±5 V, ±2.5 V, and 0-10 V, 0-5 V, 0-2.5 V. The input is single-ended or pseudo-differential.
The AD7665AST features a flexible digital interface supporting parallel (8/16-bit) and serial SPI modes, compatible with 5 V and 3 V logic. It is housed in a 48-lead LQFP package (7x7 mm) for surface mount assembly. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
Typical applications include data acquisition systems, communications, instrumentation, spectrum analysis, medical instruments, and process control. The device is a pin-to-pin compatible upgrade of the AD7664/AD7663.
