The AD7658BSTZ-1 is a 12-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It integrates six independent ADCs with a shared sample-and-hold circuit, enabling simultaneous sampling of six single-ended inputs. The device achieves a throughput rate of 250 kSPS per channel and supports true bipolar analog inputs with selectable ranges of ±10 V and ±5 V via pin or software control. The ADC uses a 5 V supply and includes an internal reference and reference buffers. It offers multiple digital interface options: high-speed parallel, serial SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE/DSP, and daisy-chain modes. The device is housed in a 64-lead LQFP surface-mount package (10x10 mm) and operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Typical power consumption is 140 mW at full throughput. The architecture is well-suited for applications requiring simultaneous multi-channel data acquisition, such as power line monitoring, instrumentation, and multiaxis positioning systems.
