The AD7616BSTZ is a 16-bit, 16-channel data acquisition system (DAS) featuring dual simultaneous sampling SAR ADCs. It supports true bipolar input ranges of ±10 V, ±5 V, and ±2.5 V, independently selectable per channel. The device operates from a single 5 V analog supply and a 2.3 V to 3.6 V digital VDRIVE supply, with a 1 MΩ analog input impedance.
Key performance specifications include a 92 dB SNR at 500 kSPS (2× oversampling) and 90.5 dB SNR at 1 MSPS, with −103 dB THD. Integral nonlinearity is ±1 LSB typical, and differential nonlinearity is ±0.99 LSB maximum. The ADC includes an on-chip reference and reference buffer, analog input clamp protection, and a first-order antialiasing filter.
The AD7616BSTZ is housed in an 80-lead LQFP package (14×14 mm) for surface mount assembly. It is designed for applications such as power line monitoring, protective relays, multiphase motor control, instrumentation, and general data acquisition systems.
