The AD7612BCPZ is a 16-bit, 750 kSPS successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices. It is part of the PulSAR family and fabricated on the iCMOS high voltage process, enabling high precision and robust performance.
Key specifications include differential input, true bipolar operation, and support for multiple programmable input ranges (5 V, 10 V, ±5 V, ±10 V) via pins or SPI. The device offers three operating modes: warp mode at 750 kSPS, normal mode at 600 kSPS, and impulse mode at 500 kSPS. Integral nonlinearity is ±1.5 LSB maximum, and signal-to-noise ratio is 93 dB typical. Power dissipation is 205 mW typical at 750 kSPS.
The ADC provides a flexible data interface including SPI, parallel (16-bit or 8-bit), and DSP-compatible serial interfaces. It operates from a dual 5 V supply and includes an internal 5 V reference. The device is housed in a 48-lead LFCSP (7 mm × 7 mm) surface-mount package with an exposed pad for thermal management. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
This ADC is suitable for process control, medical instruments, high speed data acquisition, digital signal processing, instrumentation, spectrum analysis, and automatic test equipment. Its high accuracy and no pipeline delay make it ideal for demanding measurement systems.
