The AD7564BN is a quad 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) manufactured by Analog Devices. It integrates four 12-bit current output DACs in one package, each with separate reference inputs and feedback resistors. The device operates from a single +5V supply and features an R-2R architecture. It provides a serial interface (SPI) for data loading, with simultaneous update capability and a reset function (CLR). The output type is current-unbuffered, with differential outputs for each DAC. Settling time is typically 550 µs for a full-scale change. Integral and differential nonlinearity are ±0.5 LSB maximum. Gain error is ±4 LSB at 25°C and ±5 LSB over temperature. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. The device is housed in a 28-lead PDIP (plastic dual in-line) package for through-hole mounting. Typical applications include process control, portable instrumentation, and general purpose test equipment.
