The AD7538KN is a 14-bit monolithic CMOS digital-to-analog converter (DAC) manufactured using the LC2MOS process. It features laser-trimmed thin-film resistors for excellent linearity and is designed for microprocessor-based systems. The DAC offers a parallel interface with double-buffered inputs, allowing simultaneous updates in multi-DAC configurations via the LDAC pin. Key electrical specifications include a resolution of 14 bits, a single current output channel, and supply voltages of 12V to 15V for Vdd and -5V for Vss. The device guarantees maximum output leakage current of 20 nA and integral nonlinearity of ±1 LSB. The AD7538KN is housed in a 24-pin DIP (0.300", 7.62mm) package with a 24-PDIP supplier device package, suitable for through-hole mounting. Typical applications include microprocessor-based control systems, digital audio, precision servo control, and high-temperature measurement environments.
