The AD7528LRZ-REEL is a monolithic dual 8-bit digital-to-analog converter from Analog Devices, designed for applications requiring precise digital control. It features on-chip latches for both DACs, enabling easy microprocessor interfacing with its parallel data input.
This DAC offers four-quadrant multiplication characteristics with separate reference inputs and feedback resistors for each channel. Key electrical specifications include an 8-bit resolution, a wide operating voltage range of 5V to 15V, and a fast settling time of 400ns. The integral nonlinearity (INL) is specified at ±0.5 LSB to ±1 LSB.
The device is housed in a 20-SOIC surface mount package, measuring 0.295 inches (7.50mm) in width. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The AD7528 is compatible with TTL/CMOS logic levels and features latch-free operation. Its dual-DAC design with excellent DAC-to-DAC matching makes it suitable for stereo audio circuits, gain/attenuation control, and X-Y graphics applications.
