The AD75004KPZ is a quad 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It integrates four complete voltage output DACs, a high stability bandgap reference, and double-buffered input latches on a single chip. The device uses precision high-speed bipolar current steering switches and laser-trimmed thin-film resistor networks to achieve fast settling time and high accuracy.
Each DAC offers 12-bit resolution with a maximum settling time of 4 µs. The output type is voltage-buffered, and the data interface is parallel, allowing direct connection to 8-bit microprocessors. The reference type can be either external or internal. The architecture is current steering, providing excellent linearity with INL and DNL of ±0.5 LSB maximum.
The AD75004KPZ is housed in a 28-lead PLCC (J-Lead) package with a surface mount mounting type. It operates over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C and requires dual power supplies of ±10.8V to ±13.2V. The device is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited).
Typical applications include process control, automatic test equipment, and precision instrumentation where multiple analog outputs are required. The double-buffered input latches prevent spurious outputs during data updates, making it suitable for systems with shared data buses.
