The AD73311LARSZ is a low cost, low power CMOS general purpose analog front end (AFE) manufactured by Analog Devices. It integrates a 16-bit A/D converter and a 16-bit D/A converter with programmable input/output sample rates up to 64 kS/s. The ADC achieves a typical signal-to-noise ratio of 75 dB, while the DAC provides 70 dB SNR, with crosstalk of -90 dB typical. The device features low group delay of 25 µs (ADC) and 50 µs (DAC) per channel.
This single-channel AFE operates from a single 2.7V to 5.25V supply with a maximum power dissipation of 50 mW at 2.7V. It includes on-chip reference and programmable gain amplifiers (PGA) on both input and output paths. The serial interface is a flexible 6-wire port that allows cascading of up to eight devices. The device is specified for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
The AD73311LARSZ is housed in a 20-lead SSOP package (0.209", 5.30mm width) with surface mount mounting. Package dimensions are 7.2 mm length, 5.3 mm width, and 1.75 mm height. Typical applications include general purpose analog I/O, speech processing, cordless and personal communications, telephony, active control of sound and vibration, and data communications.
