The AD7249AR is a dual 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, part of the DACPORT family. It provides buffered voltage outputs and uses an R-2R architecture for accurate conversion. The device features a serial SPI data interface, simplifying connections to microcontrollers and DSPs.
Key electrical characteristics include a 10 µs settling time, support for external or internal reference, and an analog supply range of ±10.8V to 16.5V. Integral nonlinearity is ±1 LSB maximum, and differential nonlinearity is ±0.9 LSB maximum. The device does not provide differential output.
The AD7249AR is surface mount packaged in a 16-SOIC (0.295", 7.50mm width) case and operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. This makes it suitable for various data acquisition and control applications requiring two accurate analog outputs.
